When you're doing so much fire damage though it's also a good idea to equip fire resistance runes to your armour.on one or two armour pieces is all that's necessary. Added to which I also equip fire damage and fire buildup runes (of the "Great" variety). Its perk is "Ignite on Stun" in addition to which I've slotted in a "Ignite on/after Critical hits" (a diamond rune) so my weapon/s are ignited so quickly and frequently it's a joy to behold. My favourite weapon is a spear called Lugh.
If my weapons don't already come with igniting perk/s I make sure to slot in igniting runes on them. Holding down the button for blocking activates the weapon's Special attack in these cases.įire igniting weapons are def my favourite because they do such a tremendous amount of damage. With such other weapons you can parry but not block. Then I found out you can also parry with other weapons (hammers, axes, spears etc) in secondary hand so I switched to using weapons in secondary. Pretty good shield, probable one of the best light shields which I also used for quite a while. It's perk is "Chance to ignite your weapon on parry". It's a light shield if you want something faster, offers a fair amount of defence (parry, block) though not as much as heavy shield. The heavy shields sure have great parry and blocking though being heavy the trade off is speed. The Sarcophagus is the one I believe you have which creates a fire around you on parry. My two favourites were the Sarcophagus and Hel's. Heavy shield was my preference for a very long time in the earlies because of its superior blocking/defensive nature.
